One of the benefits of going virtual is that it allows everyone to participate. These unprecedented times have shown us how important human interaction is - and we’re excited to produce an entire Virtual Pride Parade showcasing the incredible LGBTQ+ humans + allies in our city and state.
What is a Virtual Parade Unit?
The 2020 OKC Virtual Pride Parade will be a compilation of fun-filled virtual parade “units” submitted by community businesses and organizations that will be livestreamed as a “parade” with live commentary. “Stepping off” right from your favorite screen, the parade will start at 10am on Sunday, June 20, 2020.
Parade unit videos should be fun, creative, family friendly, and community minded. This is your chance to let the Oklahoma LGBTQ+ community know about your business or organization, how you are supporting the community both now during these unprecedented times as well as regularly, and just a chance to have fun!
Unit videos should be creative and personal, not a 30 or 60 second commercial video. Though not limited to this style, think more social media content than a television commercial. Have fun! Get silly! Be creative! We encourage you to take the same energy and effort that you would have put into a traditional marching unit into your virtual unit. Bright colors, smiling faces, crazy outfits and costumes all have a place in both marching parades and virtual parades!
In addition, virtual parade units should be created and filmed in a way that promotes social distancing. We recommend that you use the same rules that apply when you are out in public when it comes to filming your videos. No large groups, social distance if multiple people are participating, or better yet, think how you can gather your group virtually to create content.
The parade will be telecast on Facebook Live and we are looking to expand to other platforms as well. Facebook Live rules and regulations will be in place and all video content should be filmed with those restrictions in place.

OKC Virtual Pride Parade Unit Types & Fees
CORPORATE:
30 Second Premium Corporate Unit (Plays in first 30 minutes): $500.00
60 Second Premium Corporate Unit (Plays in first 30 minutes): $1,000.00
30 Second Corporate Unit: $150.00
60 Second Corporate Unit: $300.00
Corporate Unit: Defined as a company with 100+ employees, including employee resource groups or internal organizations.
COMMERCIAL:
30 Second Commercial Unit: $100.00
60 second Commercial Unit: $200.00
Commercial Unit: Defined as a locally owned company or group (excluding Non-Profits) with fewer than 100 employees or members.
POLITICAL:
30 Second Political Unit: $100.00
Political Unit: Defined as any political party, elected official or political candidate campaigning for office. See additional guidelines outlined in the Virtual Parade Agreement.
NON-PROFIT OR STUDENT GROUP:
30 Second Non-Profit or Student Group Unit: $50.00
60 Second Non-Profit or Student Group Unit: $100.00
Non-Profit Unit: Defined as a nonprofit charitable organization or government agency as recognized by the Internal Revenue Service (requires verification). School Unit: Defined as a student group, club, organization, etc. that is part of a school or educational institution.
FAMILY + FRIENDS:
15 Second Family and Friends Unit $30.00
Family and Friends Unit: Defined as a household, group of friends, or solo performer. -
